The Mandalorian & Grogu: Boba Fett Out Of The New Film
The next Star Wars film, The Mandalorian & Grogu, is on the horizon, but fans will have to wait a while longer for Pedro Pascal’s return as Din Djarin following the third season of The Mandalorian. While the beloved protagonists are confirmed to return in the film, it appears that Temuera Morrison’s Boba Fett will not be joining them.
During the recent Disney D23 event, Morrison revealed that he has not been approached to reprise his role as the iconic bounty hunter in the upcoming film. “I’m still waiting for a phone call, to be honest. I think we’re just going to be sidelined for a while,” the actor shared.
The last time fans saw Boba Fett was in the second season of The Mandalorian, where he reclaimed Jabba’s palace on Tatooine, taking over the throne after eliminating Bib Fortuna. Despite his significant role in that season, Boba Fett was notably absent in the third season, leaving fans wondering about his future in the franchise.
Morrison also mentioned that he has not received any word about a second season of The Book of Boba Fett. The miniseries received mixed reactions, and its uncertain reception has left plans for a renewal in limbo.
