Avengers: Doomsday, What If Agatha Harkness Was Also In The MCU Crossover?
Agatha Harkness Set to Join the Avengers?
According to early rumors, Agatha Harkness, the enigmatic witch portrayed by Katherine Hahn in WandaVision and the upcoming series Agatha: All Along, might be making an appearance in the highly anticipated crossover film Avengers: Doomsday. Directed by the Russo brothers, this film is expected to bring together a vast array of characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
Katherine Hahn's Thoughts on Agatha's Crossover Potential
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Katherine Hahn didn't confirm or deny these rumors but expressed her enthusiasm for a potential crossover between Agatha and other Marvel characters in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. Both films are set for release in May 2026 and May 2027, respectively.
A Crossover Only if It Serves the Story
Hahn emphasized that any potential crossover involving Agatha Harkness should be driven by narrative necessity. "I think I would only be asked if it was necessary and interesting," Hahn stated. She highlighted the flexibility of her character, noting that being a witch in the Marvel Universe opens up numerous possibilities. "The easiest thing in the Marvel world is to be a witch. She can show up anywhere, she can be anywhere, she can do anything," Hahn added, likening Agatha to "an evil, mischievous stepsister."
Agatha Harkness: More Than Just a Supporting Character
Katherine Hahn also reflected on the development of Agatha Harkness in WandaVision, stressing that Agatha was always intended to be more than just a supporting character. "From the very beginning, when we were developing WandaVision, we realized that Agatha Harkness needed to be the protagonist of her own story," Hahn said. She appreciates Agatha's unique position in the MCU, acknowledging her role as a character who doesn't overshadow the main heroes but stands out in her own right.
