With Frozen 3 already in development, Anya Taylor-Joy has revealed her ultimate dream role: portraying Elsa in a live-action version of Disney's beloved animated film. The Queen’s Gambit star recently opened up about this aspiration during an interview with Vogue Hong Kong, expressing her deep desire to bring the iconic character to life.

Anya Taylor-Joy's Passion for a Musical Challenge

In her interview, Taylor-Joy shared her enthusiasm for tackling the challenge of a musical role. "I really want to do a musical because I'm a bit too obsessed with my job at the moment," she explained. "I like the challenge of completing impossible tasks. I think it's incredibly motivating for me, so the idea of being able to sing, dance, and act at the same time is really exciting."

Imagining Life as Elsa

Taylor-Joy didn't just stop at expressing her interest in a musical; she also described why playing Elsa would be particularly special to her. "I think Frozen would be awesome. Throwing ice cubes out of your hands would be so much fun. And you'd be a favorite at every birthday party. All my siblings have kids now, so I'd love for them to be able to say, 'My aunt is Elsa.' That would be awesome!"

The Future of the Frozen Franchise

While the idea of a live-action Frozen has been discussed among fans, Disney has not announced any plans for such a project. However, the Frozen franchise continues to thrive. At the recent D23 Expo, Disney officially confirmed not only Frozen 3 but also Frozen 4, ensuring that the story of Elsa and Anna will continue for years to come.
