Young Actress Isabelle Tate Dies at 23 — Cause of Death Confirmed

Actress Isabelle Tate has passed away at the age of 23 on October 19, just after finishing college and landing her first acting role in 9-1-1: Nashville.

Her talent agency, The McCray Agency, confirmed that she died from a rare form of Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) disease, a condition that affects the nerves and muscles. They said she passed away peacefully, and her family has asked for privacy during this difficult time.

CMT is a rare disease that causes muscle weakness, trouble walking, and loss of feeling in the hands and feet. There is currently no cure, but treatments can help manage symptoms.

In honor of Isabelle, her family requested that people donate to the Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association (CMTA) instead of sending flowers.

Isabelle had recently graduated from Middle Tennessee State University and had just started her acting career. She played Julie, a character in a wheelchair, in the 9-1-1: Nashville pilot episode.

Her co-star Hunter McVey shared a heartfelt tribute, saying Isabelle was “kind, supportive, and full of great energy.”

Country legend Alan Jackson also has Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, which he revealed in 2021 when he announced his plans to retire from performing in 2026.

Isabelle’s agency said:

“We are deeply saddened and heartbroken to share that Isabelle Tate passed away on October 19th. She was 23. She had such a bright future and brought joy to everyone around her.”

💔 May she rest in peace.
