Kevin Spacey’s attempts to re-enter Hollywood may once again be derailed, as the actor is now facing another set of sexual assault allegations—pushing him back into the courtroom and further away from redemption in the film industry. Spacey recently spoke about his struggles, revealing that he feels “homeless” while accepting small roles wherever he can, hoping for a career revival.

The Accusations That Changed Everything

Spacey’s downfall began in 2017 when actor Anthony Rapp accused him of sexual assault, triggering a wave of similar claims from more than a dozen individuals. The fallout was immediate and severe: Spacey was cut from several projects, most notably Ridley Scott’s All the Money in the World, which reshot his scenes with Christopher Plummer. He was also fired from the final season of House of Cards, ending his acclaimed run as Frank Underwood.

Despite the widespread accusations, Spacey has not been found legally guilty in any of the trials he has faced so far. Many cases failed due to statutes of limitations, unwillingness of victims to testify, or the death of key accusers. His most recent legal battle in 2023 resulted in him being acquitted of nine charges in the UK, with three others dropped.

New Civil Claims Put Spacey Back Before a Judge

According to BBC reports, Spacey will return to court in October 2026 to face civil lawsuits filed by three British men who allege he assaulted them between 2000 and 2013. The cases may be tried separately or combined, depending on court decisions. Spacey has denied two of the accusations, while the third remains unanswered.

One of the accusers has been publicly identified as actor Ruari Cannon, who claims Spacey groped him at an after-party during the actor’s time at the Old Vic. Cannon previously appeared in the documentary Spacey Unmasked, alongside nine other individuals who accused the actor of misconduct.

Can Kevin Spacey Ever Return to Hollywood?

Despite everything, Spacey insists he’s not giving up on reclaiming his once-glittering career. But every new allegation pushes that goal further out of reach. While Hollywood has seen surprising comebacks over the years, Spacey’s path remains exceptionally challenging—especially as more legal battles emerge.

Still, if the upcoming trials end with him cleared of all charges, Spacey may once again attempt to persuade a studio to take a chance on him. But for now, his comeback is on indefinite pause.
