Leonardo DiCaprio Says He Hasn’t Rewatched Titanic

Leonardo DiCaprio became a global star after playing Jack Dawson in Titanic (1997), one of the biggest movies of all time. Despite the film’s massive success, DiCaprio recently admitted that he has not rewatched Titanic since it was released. He shared this during an interview with Jennifer Lawrence for Variety’s Actors on Actors series.

When Lawrence asked him if he had watched Titanic again, DiCaprio replied that he hasn’t seen it “in forever.” Lawrence encouraged him to watch it now, saying it is still very good. DiCaprio simply responded, “I don’t really watch my films.”

Missing Out on Boogie Nights

During the interview, DiCaprio also talked about Boogie Nights, the famous film directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. He explained that Titanic and Boogie Nights were in production around the same time, which made it difficult for him to do both movies.

Although he did not star in Boogie Nights, DiCaprio later worked with Anderson on One Battle After Another. He praised Anderson’s career and said he has admired him for many years.

When asked about directors he still wants to work with, DiCaprio mentioned Damien Chazelle and Michael Mann, saying he has always wanted to collaborate with them.
