Marty Supreme Breaks A24 Records Thanks to Gen Z Fans
Timothée Chalamet’s new movie Marty Supreme is already making history for A24. Even before its wide release, the film is selling tickets very fast and breaking pre-sale records for the studio.
The movie is currently showing in only six theaters in New York and Los Angeles, but many shows are already sold out. Reports say that 70% of weekend tickets at these locations have been sold. Most of the buyers are young people aged 17 to 24, showing strong support from Gen Z audiences.
Marty Supreme will release nationwide on December 25, and its early success suggests it could perform very well at the box office.
The film first premiered in October at the New York Film Festival, where it received very positive reviews. On Rotten Tomatoes, the movie has a 94% approval rating from critics, with over 100 reviews counted so far.
Along with Chalamet, the movie features a strong cast including Gwyneth Paltrow, Odessa A’zion, Tyler Okonma, Fran Drescher, and several other well-known names.
Marty Supreme Sets a New Standard for A24
A24 started in 2013 and quickly became famous for bold and creative films. Over the years, the studio has won many major awards, including Best Picture Oscars for Moonlight and Everything Everywhere All at Once. The latter remains A24’s highest-grossing movie, earning over $143 million worldwide.
A24 is known for supporting unique filmmakers and original storytelling. In recent years, the studio has also found success with bigger projects that appeal to wider audiences.
Marty Supreme is A24’s most expensive film so far, with a reported $70 million budget. However, with strong reviews, huge Gen Z interest, and Timothée Chalamet once again being considered for major awards, the film has a strong chance to become A24’s biggest box office hit ever.
