Netflix’s Extraction Spin-Off Starts Production With First Official Look
The Extraction action franchise is growing again. Netflix has officially started production on a new spin-off TV series titled Mercenary: An Extraction Series, and fans have now gotten their first official look at the show.
The series will have eight episodes and is set in the same world as the popular Extraction movies starring Chris Hemsworth. This time, the story will focus on new characters and a new dangerous mission.
Omar Sy Leads the New Action Series
The spin-off stars Omar Sy, best known for his role in Lupin. He plays a mercenary for hire who is sent on a deadly rescue mission in Libya.
According to Netflix, the story follows the mercenary as he tries to save hostages while caught between violent factions and ruthless killers. Along the way, he must face tough moral choices, emotional pain, and betrayal.
The series keeps the same intense action style as the Extraction films but tells the story over a longer format.
