Prime Video’s Jury Duty Season 2 Finally Gets a Release Date
Prime Video’s surprise comedy hit Jury Duty is officially coming back. After months of waiting, fans now have a confirmed release date and a clear idea of what to expect from Season 2 — and it’s not set in a courtroom this time.
The first season became a breakout success thanks to its clever prank-style format and genuinely funny moments. Viewers quickly connected with the show’s unique concept, making Season 2 one of Prime Video’s most anticipated returns.
When Does Jury Duty Season 2 Premiere?
Season 2 is officially titled Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat. The first three episodes will premiere on Prime Video on March 20. Additional episodes will be released weekly in batches, with two more episodes arriving on March 27, followed by the final three episodes on April 3.
Unlike the first season, the new chapters have nothing to do with jury duty. Instead, the show shifts to a corporate setting while keeping the same hidden-camera prank formula.
What Is Season 2 About?
According to the official synopsis, Season 2 follows Anthony, a temporary employee at a hot sauce company who attends a corporate retreat. During the trip, company leadership faces internal conflict as the founder prepares to step down, leading to tension between big-business goals and small-company values.
What Anthony doesn’t know is that the entire retreat — and everyone around him — is part of an elaborate setup designed just for him.
The season was filmed last year and went through an extended post-production process, likely due to the complexity of editing hidden-camera footage. Unlike Season 1, the new season does not feature a major celebrity playing themselves, but it promises the same awkward humor and escalating situations.
Why Jury Duty Became a Streaming Hit
Prank shows are nothing new, but Jury Duty stood out by doing something different. Released on Freevee, the show surprised both critics and audiences. The first season earned strong reviews, including an 84% critic score and a 96% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.
James Marsden’s exaggerated version of himself helped guide viewers through the chaos, but the heart of the show was Ronald Gladden — the one person who didn’t know it was all fake. His kindness, patience, and sincerity made the show feel warm instead of cruel.
Importantly, the comedy never felt like it was making fun of Ronald. The humor came from the strange situations and over-the-top characters around him, which helped audiences connect emotionally with the show.
Can Season 2 Match the Magic?
Season 2 faces a big challenge in finding another participant as naturally likable as Ronald. Still, the fresh setting and new lead character give the show a strong chance to succeed.
With Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat arriving in March, fans won’t have to wait much longer to see if Prime Video’s hit comedy can pull off another unforgettable prank.
