Nick Jonas Stars in New Action Thriller Bodyman

Nick Jonas is set to lead the cast of Bodyman, an upcoming action thriller directed by Gary Fleder, marking Fleder’s first feature film in 13 years. Known for Homefront (2013) and Kiss the Girls (1997), Fleder reunites with writer Byron Balasco, who previously worked on Kingdom. Filming for Bodyman is scheduled to begin in June 2026.

Bodyman tells the story of a family Christmas turned deadly. When an eccentric billionaire unexpectedly hands over the inheritance of his private military company to his longtime bodyguard, played by Jonas, a violent struggle for power and survival unfolds. The film raises the question: who will make it out of the family estate alive?

Jonas shared his excitement about the project, saying he has been developing it for some time and is thrilled to collaborate again with Fleder and Balasco. Producer Jeffery Greenstein added that pairing Jonas with a talented creative team promises a grounded, gripping action film for audiences.

This new role marks a shift for Jonas, who has previously starred in Jumanji: The Next Level and the World War II action film Midway. Bodyman is expected to showcase a more mature side of the actor, expanding his range beyond family-friendly films.

In addition to Bodyman, Jonas is also returning to his musical roots. He, along with his brothers Joe and Kevin, will reprise their roles as the Gray brothers in Camp Rock 3. The new installment introduces a fresh cast of campers while bringing the original Connect 3 band back for a reunion tour.

Nick Jonas also has another high-profile project on the horizon: playing KISS frontman Paul Stanley in the upcoming band biopic Shout It Out Loud. With these projects, Jonas continues to diversify his career, moving seamlessly between music, family films, and mature action roles.
