The company has focused heavily on major franchise projects, including upcoming Avengers films, the Fantastic Four, and future X-Men stories. As a result, some projects, including Shang-Chi 2, have taken longer to move forward.

Despite the delay, Cretton confirmed that the sequel remains in active development. This is encouraging news for fans who have been waiting to see Simu Liu return as Shang-Chi in a solo adventure.
