Animal Park to Begin After Spirit and a Six-Month Break

Fans waiting for Animal Park may have to wait a little longer. The sequel to Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal is expected to begin only after director Sandeep Reddy Vanga completes Spirit and takes a six-month break.

The update was shared by Sandeep’s brother and producer Pranay Reddy Vanga during a recent Telugu interview. He spoke about Sandeep’s current projects and gave fans an idea of when work on Animal Park could begin.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga to Focus on Spirit First

Sandeep Reddy Vanga is currently busy with Spirit, his upcoming film starring Prabhas and Triptii Dimri. The director is expected to finish the project before turning his attention to Animal Park.

According to Pranay, the team will take a break of around six months after Spirit. Once that break is over, work on Animal Park will begin.

He also suggested that fans should not expect the film to move too quickly because Sandeep takes his time while writing his scripts.

Ranbir Kapoor Expected to Return as Ranvijay

Animal Park is planned as the sequel to the 2023 blockbuster Animal, which featured Ranbir Kapoor as Ranvijay Singh Balbir.

The first film ended on a major cliffhanger and introduced a bigger conflict involving Ranvijay and his lookalike, Aziz. This has created huge curiosity around the story of Animal Park.

Ranbir Kapoor is expected to return for the sequel, although the makers have not yet revealed the complete cast, storyline or shooting schedule.

What About Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Mahesh Babu?

Pranay Reddy Vanga also addressed reports about a possible collaboration between Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu.

There have been reports about a potential project involving the two, with producer Sunil Narang also linked to the discussions. However, Pranay made it clear that Sandeep's immediate focus is on Spirit and Animal Park.

He also acknowledged Sandeep’s admiration for Mahesh Babu, leaving the possibility of a future collaboration open.

Animal Park Shooting Timeline

For now, Animal Park remains behind Spirit in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s schedule. The director will first complete the Prabhas-led film, followed by the planned six-month break.

After that, he is expected to begin work on Animal Park. Since Sandeep is known for spending significant time developing his scripts, the exact shooting and release dates for the Ranbir Kapoor sequel are still unclear.

Animal Park will continue the story established in Animal, which also starred Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Triptii Dimri. The first film became one of Ranbir Kapoor’s biggest commercial successes and generated strong interest in its planned sequel.

For now, fans will have to wait for Spirit to wrap up before getting more concrete updates about Animal Park.
