Heat 2 is moving closer to production, and new casting details have reportedly emerged for some of the film’s female characters.
Michael Mann’s highly anticipated crime thriller is expected to begin filming in November, with the cast gradually coming together. While major attention has focused on the returning world of the original Heat, recent reports suggest that several actresses are now being considered for new roles.
Heat 2 Female Cast: Who Is Being Considered?
According to reports from Nexus Point News, Inde Navarrette may still have a connection to Heat 2. Although she reportedly passed on the role of Charlene after being linked to Marvel Studios’ upcoming X-Men reboot, she is said to remain in consideration for the smaller role of Gabriella.
Meanwhile, Eiza González is reportedly being considered for the role of Elisa. González is already familiar with action-heavy projects, having appeared in movies such as Baby Driver, Alita: Battle Angel, Ambulance, and The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.
Another name linked to the project is Odessa Young, who is reportedly in the running to play Charlene. The character was originally portrayed by Ashley Judd in the 1995 film Heat.
What About Ana in Heat 2?
The casting details for Ana, another important character introduced in the Heat 2 novel, are still unclear.
Reports suggest that discussions for the role are taking place, meaning more casting announcements could arrive as production gets closer.
Heat 2 Could Lead to More Movies
Heat 2 is based on Michael Mann’s novel of the same name and expands the story of the original 1995 crime classic.
The project has generated significant interest, with reports previously suggesting that Amazon is also interested in the possibility of developing Heat 3.
