Who Will Play the New X Men

Sadie Sink will take on the role of Jean Grey, while Kit Connor will play Scott Summers, better known as Cyclops.

Christopher Abbott will become the new Professor Charles Xavier, following previous performances by Patrick Stewart and James McAvoy.

Samara Weaving will play Emma Frost, a powerful mutant telepath who was previously portrayed by January Jones in X Men First Class.

Inde Navarrette has been cast as Rogue. The actress is known for her work in Superman and Lois and Thirteen Reasons Why.

Maya Boyd will play Storm, taking over a role previously played by Halle Berry and Alexandra Shipp.

Adam Driver will step into the X Men universe as Mister Sinister, one of the franchise's most dangerous villains.

Mister Sinister Finally Comes to Marvel

Mister Sinister has been connected to the X Men movies for years. The character was teased through the Essex Corporation in X Men Apocalypse, but he never became a major on screen villain.

Marvel Studios is now finally bringing Nathaniel Essex into the story.

His arrival could give the new movie a darker direction and create a major threat for the young mutant team.

Jake Schreier Will Direct the Movie

Jake Schreier will direct the new X Men film. He recently received strong praise for his work on Thunderbolts, making him one of Marvel's important directors for its next phase.

The movie has been in development for several years, with several writers working on different versions of the screenplay.

Production is currently expected to begin in 2027.

A New Beginning for the X Men

Marvel has slowly been introducing mutants into the Marvel Cinematic Universe through different projects. The return of X Men characters in Avengers Doomsday and the success of X Men 97 have also increased interest in the franchise.

The new X Men movie is expected to serve as a major step toward the future of the MCU after the Multiverse Saga.

Rather than simply bringing back the old Fox era team, Marvel appears to be building a new generation of mutants with younger actors and fresh versions of familiar characters.

X Men Release Date

The new X Men movie will be released in theaters on May 5, 2028. Filming is expected to begin in 2027.

With Jean Grey, Cyclops, Storm, Rogue, Emma Frost, Professor Xavier, and Mister Sinister already announced, Marvel has officially started building its next generation of mutants.

Fans can now expect more casting news, story details, and production updates as the movie moves closer to filming.
