Mumbai is preparing for a major international entertainment event as Bollywood star Alia Bhatt joins Hollywood actor Rami Malek and British actress Simone Ashley for The Earthshot Prize 2026 Awards Night.

The prestigious ceremony will take place in Mumbai on November 17, 2026, bringing together leading names from film, music, sports and environmental innovation. Alia Bhatt has been confirmed as one of the presenters and will present one of the five Earthshot Prize awards.

Alia Bhatt Takes the Stage for The Earthshot Prize

Alia Bhatt will be part of a global line-up that includes Oscar-winning actor Rami Malek, cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, Simone Ashley and Sonam Kapoor.

The ceremony will be hosted by filmmaker and presenter Karan Johar, while singer Shreya Ghoshal is set to perform during the evening. Around 5,000 guests are expected to attend the Mumbai event.

For Alia, the occasion is about celebrating people developing solutions for some of the world's most urgent environmental challenges. She has described The Earthshot Prize as being about hope supported by ideas and action, and said she is proud that Mumbai will bring people together for the occasion.

Rami Malek will also be among the presenters and special guests at the Mumbai ceremony. The Oscar-winning actor is joining the event as The Earthshot Prize brings its annual celebration to India for the first time.

Simone Ashley, known internationally for her work in film and television, is also part of the line-up. She is scheduled to perform at the event, adding a musical element to an evening that will combine entertainment with environmental recognition.

The combination of Indian and international stars gives the Mumbai ceremony a distinctly global character, with celebrities joining environmental innovators and other guests to celebrate the year's Earthshot Prize finalists.

Karan Johar Will Host the Mumbai Ceremony

Karan Johar will take charge as host of the 2026 Awards Night. Alongside him, Earthshot Ambassadors Robert Irwin and Nomzamo Mbatha will also participate in the event.

Sachin Tendulkar and Sonam Kapoor are among the other Indian personalities confirmed for the ceremony, while Shreya Ghoshal will perform live for the guests. The Earthshot Prize has also indicated that additional names will be announced in the coming weeks.

What Is The Earthshot Prize?

Founded by Prince William in 2020, The Earthshot Prize focuses on solutions designed to protect and restore the planet.

The 2026 ceremony in Mumbai will celebrate finalists working on environmental challenges, bringing together scientists, entrepreneurs, community changemakers, Indigenous leaders and young innovators.

This will be the first time The Earthshot Prize Awards Night is held in India, making Mumbai the centre of the global celebration in November.

Prime Video Will Stream the Event Worldwide

The 2026 ceremony will also reach audiences around the world through Prime Video. It is the first time the awards night will have Prime Video as its exclusive global streaming partner.

The ceremony is scheduled to stream across more than 240 countries and territories and in more than 40 languages, giving the Mumbai event a worldwide audience.

With Alia Bhatt presenting an award, Rami Malek joining the line-up and Simone Ashley taking part in the ceremony, The Earthshot Prize 2026 is shaping up to be one of Mumbai's biggest international entertainment events of the year.
