No Official Announcement Yet, But Hope Remains

Despite the success of Inside Out 2, Pixar has not yet announced plans for Inside Out 3. Given that nine years passed between the release of the first and second films, it could be a while before we see another sequel. Additionally, Pixar’s production schedule is packed until 2027, which might delay any potential third installment.

Actress Kensington Tallman Shares Her Vision for Inside Out 3

Kensington Tallman, who voiced the protagonist Riley in the original film, has already shared her ideas for what the third movie could explore. Tallman is particularly interested in introducing a new emotion—Love—into Riley’s mind. “Love can branch out into so many different aspects of life,” Tallman explained. “I think it would be really cool to see that emotion being born in Riley's mind.”

Exploring Adulthood: The Perfect Setting for Inside Out 3

As for the setting of the potential third film, Tallman believes that the story should take place during Riley’s college years, marking her entrance into adulthood. “It’s a really scary time, but it’s also very exciting,” Tallman noted. She sees this phase of life as the perfect balance between excitement and fear, with emotions like Anxiety playing a significant role.

At 16 years old, Tallman isn’t quite at that stage in her own life yet, but she’s eager to explore it through Riley’s character. “I think that would be a really cool storyline to explore,” she added.

Will We See Inside Out 3?

While Pixar has yet to confirm Inside Out 3, the overwhelming success of the second film and the creative ideas shared by the cast suggest that another sequel could be a possibility. Fans will have to wait and see if Pixar decides to continue Riley’s emotional journey into adulthood. For now, Inside Out 2 continues to captivate audiences worldwide, keeping the franchise alive and well.
