First Trailer Released for Ryan Murphy’s The Beauty
Ryan Murphy is back with another bold and stylish TV series. His upcoming FX show, The Beauty, has just released its first teaser trailer. The series promises a dark, sexy, and mysterious story, which is something Murphy is well known for.
Over the years, Ryan Murphy has created many different types of shows, from light comedies to serious dramas based on real people. However, American Horror Story is the show that truly made him famous. Because of that, the strange and dark theme of The Beauty will not surprise his fans. What does stand out is how cinematic and visually stylish the show looks.
The Beauty will premiere on FX on January 21, 2026.
What Is The Beauty About?
FX has shared the official story of the series.
The show takes place in the world of high fashion, which turns deadly when famous supermodels start dying in shocking and mysterious ways. Two FBI agents, Cooper Madsen (played by Evan Peters) and Jordan Bennett (played by Rebecca Hall), are sent to Paris to investigate.
During their investigation, they discover a dangerous sexually transmitted virus. This virus makes ordinary people look physically perfect, but it comes with horrifying consequences.
The agents soon learn that a powerful tech billionaire known as “The Corporation” (played by Ashton Kutcher) is behind the virus. He created a miracle drug called The Beauty and will do anything to protect his trillion-dollar empire. To stop anyone who threatens him, he sends a deadly enforcer known as “The Assassin” (played by Anthony Ramos).
As the virus spreads across the world, a man named Jeremy (played by Jeremy Pope) gets caught in the chaos. The story moves through cities like Paris, Venice, Rome, and New York as the FBI agents race to stop a disaster that could change humanity forever.
The show asks one big question: How far would you go to be perfect?
Ryan Murphy’s Recent TV Record
Ryan Murphy is one of the most successful TV creators of the past ten years. Almost all of his shows attract large audiences, even when critics are not impressed.
Recently, Netflix released Monster: The Ed Gein Story, starring Charlie Hunnam. While many people watched it, the show received poor reviews, with only 22% positive ratings on Rotten Tomatoes.
In November, Murphy’s Hulu series All’s Fair, starring Kim Kardashian, Sarah Paulson, and Naomi Watts, was also popular with viewers but scored just 6% positive reviews. Despite this, the show has already been renewed for another season. Meanwhile, Monster Season 4 is set to focus on Lizzie Borden.
Even with mixed reviews, Ryan Murphy continues to dominate television. Whether The Beauty will impress critics or audiences remains to be seen.
