Stranger Things Star Jamie Campbell Bower Surprises Fans on Broadway
Stranger Things star Jamie Campbell Bower made a surprise appearance on Broadway in the play The First Shadow on Friday, December 19. The show was completely sold out, and fans did not expect to see him on stage.
Jamie Campbell Bower is famous for playing Henry Creel, also known as Vecna, in the Netflix series Stranger Things. In this special Broadway appearance, he returned to the same role for a short cameo at the end of the play. The First Shadow is a prequel, which means it tells the story before the events of the Stranger Things TV series.
According to Deadline, Jamie replaced actor Louis McCartney, who usually plays Henry Creel on Broadway, for the final scene. In this scene, Henry meets Eleven at the Hawkins Laboratory, where Dr. Brenner is working.
When Jamie appeared on stage, the audience reacted with loud cheers and applause. Many fans were emotional and excited to see him live at New York’s Marquis Theatre.
During the curtain call, Jamie stood on stage with the full cast. He looked very touched by the love from the audience. Louis McCartney also praised him in a heartfelt speech, calling him the true inspiration behind the character and the play. He thanked Jamie for his talent, support, and dedication, saying that The First Shadow would not be possible without him.
This unexpected moment made the night unforgettable for fans of Stranger Things and Broadway alike.
